240: A 19TH C. CARVED ONYX AND 14K GOLD CAMEO BROOCH

An antique hardstone cameo with an overall size of 2.25 x 1.75 inches and the onyx measures 1.75 x 1.25 inches. Cracks noted under magnification.
Fair condition noting hairline radiating from several small nicks near neck area of onyx and also another small hairline at the crown of the head in the onyx. A crack radiates from forehead area in the onyx and into the carved head 7/16th of an inch long. One half of an inch of the filigree on the lower left bottom of brooch is not uniform.
